The Eddy Missionary Baptist Church is located at 2417 Eddy Church Road just off U.S. highway 231 North of Arab, Alabama. The church was founded in 1952 when the property was sought out and purchased by a group of men from the community. The church building was constructed over the next six month period. Many people from the community worked along side the member to complete the building.

The church was organized on July 12, 1952 and still meets on the original site in the original building. Over the years additions and renovations have been made and grounds have been added for a cemetery and fellowship hall.

The church offers Sunday School classes for all age groups and a Sunday night Bible study. We have Wednesday night prayer meeting and place a strong emphasis on music and fellowship. Once a month we have special music using church talent as well as visiting singers. This is followed by a meal and fellowship in the fellowship hall.

The church is mission minded and has sponsored a radio broadcast for over forty years. We currently sponsor a missionary in Thailand and help with local area needs.

We also have a ladies auxiliary which serves the church and community.
